If you ask any gamer, they will say that amongst the top 3 most important things of their setup is the quality of their headset. And, to be completely honest, I cannot disagree with that. In fact, I could probably put the importance of a good headset even higher because I know the difference between playing with a cheap and high-quality headset. It really is two completely different worlds.

A high-quality headset means that when you play games, the quality of detail that comes through can provide the gamer with intel that can be of great value. Besides, the gamer will not only be able to hear teammates properly via game chat, but they will also be able to communicate effectively and clearly to their teammates via the high-quality microphone.

But, a good headset doesn’t automatically mean that you have to spend hundreds of dollars. In fact, it is the opposite. This hundred dollar headset is perfect for next-gen gaming as it has all the features that the Xbox Series X requires.

Here are some of the benefits of the SteelSeries Arctis 1:

  • Wireless.
  • Microsoft and Xbox Series X certified.
  • Padded AirWeave ear cushions providing lasting comfort and durability.
  • High-performance audio and speaker technology.
  • High-quality microphone.
  • Battery life of up to 20 hours.

Besides, if you don’t want to spend that much, you can get the headset in a wired version at half the price.

As you may or may not already know, the Xbox Series X comes with a standard Xbox Series X wireless controller. Don’t get me wrong, those controllers are perfectly good for a console gamer to fully experience everything that the next-generation of console gaming has to offer. However, there are controllers that are far more advanced as compared than the standard Xbox Series X wireless controller.

This is the reason why I decided to add the Elite Series 2 Controller. You may be asking, how is this controller any different as compared to the standard Xbox controller? Here are a couple of advantages.

  • You can tailor the controller with new interchangeable thumbstick and paddle shapes
  • Staggering 40-hour rechargeable controller battery life.
  • Experience limitless customization and exclusive configuration options with the Xbox Accessories app

If whoever you are shopping play games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty or any other fast-paced games, I can confidently say that they would really appreciate this controller as a gift.

If the SteelSeries Arctis 1 didn’t grab your attention enough with its features, let me introduce you to the Steel Series Arctis 9X wireless gaming headset. I was wondering whether two headsets in the same list may be a little too many, but I couldn’t ignore this amazing piece of technology.

This headset is completely wireless and can last upwards of 15-20 hours of intense gaming. It has an integrated, high-quality noise-cancelling clearcast microphone. It is the same microphone that is used by aircraft deck crews, for superior noise cancellation so that voice sounds clear and natural.

Like the Arctis 1, the Arctis 9X are Microsoft certified and are fully compatible with the Xbox Series X. Here are a couple of the benefits that make this amazing piece of equipment worth its price point.

  • 20-hour battery life.
  • Noise-cancellation microphone.
  • Bluetooth (simultaneously connect to Bluetooth and Xbox to mix in music and take calls while gaming).
  • Microsoft certified.
  • Fully compatible with Xbox Series X.
  • Wireless.

You might think that this item is not really essential but let me tell you that for a gamer, the most annoying thing is their controller running out of batteries in the heat of the moment. A simple, charging station can make all the difference. How? Regardless of whether the person you are shopping for goes for food, to the toilet, or to bed, once the controller is docked on the charging station, it is charging which means that the controller will never run out of batteries.

It really is an overlooked gift idea, but, there is a reason why these charging stations have become some of the most sold accessories on the market. They add tremendous value to the gaming experience of any console gamer and are relatively inexpensive.

Here are some of the benefits of the PowerA Dual charging station:

  • Fully compatible with Xbox Series X|S
  • Includes two 1100 mAh rechargeable batteries and four battery doors.
  • Officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S with two-year limited warranty.

Overall, if you were to ask me, I would definitely be really happy with this accessory as a gift.

The Xbox Series X comes with a 1 TB SSD, while the Xbox Series S is equipped with half of that of the X series, a 512 GB SSD. It is, however, reported that the Xbox Series X will have only 802 GB of usable storage where gamers can freely store their favorite games. This means that 192 GB of the storage space, which is 1/5 of the total storage space is reserved for system files and the Xbox operating system.

While 800 GB of SSD may sound like a lot of storage space, let me tell you that it isn’t. Yes, years ago I only needed 5-10 GB to store 2-3 games, however, as games develop and become more realistic, their size also increases. A simple example is Call of Duty Modern Warfare which is over 200 GB.

Thus, if the person you are shopping for plays a range of games, chances are that they will only be able to store a maximum of 4-5 games on their console at an absolute maximum.

Therefore, this is a huge problem as gamers love playing a range of different games with their friends and having to remove and install games all the time to make up space can be an annoying nightmare.

This is where one of the best Xbox Series X external hard drives are truly essential. If you really want to make a console gamers’ day, get them an external SSD. They will absolutely adore you for it.

Here are some of the benefits of the Seagate Storage Expansion Card:

  • Compatible with the Xbox Series X/S
  • Affordable as compared to other compatible external SSDs
  • 540 MB reading speed per second
  • Amazon’s choice for Xbox Series X
  • Portable

If you don’t want to spend that much money, you can purchase the exact same SSD but a 500 GB version. On the other hand, if you’d like to go the extra mile, you can also get them the 2 TB edition which will be plenty, regardless of how many games they play.

With significant improvements to the overall performance of the Xbox Series X as compared to that of the Xbox One, the average monitor no longer meets the demand for the Xbox Series X.

So, if the person you are shopping for has a relatively average and inexpensive monitor, rest assured that they experience will be hampered as the monitor will bottle-neck all the performance features that the Xbox Series X is engineered to offer.

Because of that, I wanted to provide you with a really affordable yet optimal option that perfectly meets the requirements of the Xbox Series X. This means that you won’t have to pay for additional extras that the monitor offers which the Xbox Series X won’t use.

Let me present to you with the KG241Q Pbiip by Acer. A 23.6-inch Full-HD gaming monitor designed to meet the gaming needs of every console gamer. Here are some of the benefits of this monitor.

  • 144 Hz refresh rate
  • 1ms response time
  • 1920 x 1080 Full HD
  • Fully compatible with Xbox Series X

Besides, there are larger screens available if you wish to gift a larger monitor. There are 24.5-inch and 27-inch variants of this Acer gaming monitor.

Unlike PC keyboard and mouse gamers, console gamers are given the freedom to choose whether they want to sit on their gaming chair, sit further out on a comfortable sofa, or the floor and take advantage of their wireless connectivity.

So, I have conducted some research and how found the perfect mix of a gaming chair and a gaming couch where the person you are shopping for can fully relax and immerse themselves in the next-generation gaming experience.

Here are a few reasons why I think this gaming chair is really good and suitable for literally everyone.

  • Vibration motors that sync with the audio’s bass tones to create a powerful, true-to-life experience for the gamer.
  • Weight capacity of up to 275 lbs.
  • Complete media presence (four forward-facing gaming speakers, audio force modulation technology, and ported power subwoofers into the open space inside the chair).
  • Suitable for gaming, movie nights, relaxing, or just doing work on your laptop.

It has many applications, and is so comfortable that you can forget about getting any posture-related problems as a direct cause of playing for too long.

Xbox Series X Games

For the next-gen Xbox Series X & S consoles, there are many exciting new titles that Xbox fans will truly appreciate. I have gone ahead and have compiled a pretty solid list of games that you can pick from for a gift that will not disappoint. Who knows, maybe you will get a chance to play the game that you got them as a gift in return. Even if you are not a gamer, trust me, the graphics will be truly amazing on the next-gen consoles.

Note: Bare in mind that some of the games are digital editions (meaning that you will get a code that is then redeemed online rather than a physical copy of the game). Either way, they are both exactly the same thing.

With next-generation of console gaming, Microsoft claim that their Xbox Series X is the “most powerful console ever”, and it is easy to see why they would make such a bold claim. It combines an 8-core 3.8 GHz CPU with 12 teraflop GPU and 16 GB of RAM.

That is a huge improvement from the outgoing Xbox One which had 2.3 GHz CPU, 6 teraflop GPU and 12 GB of old-generation RAM. If I dare to say, the Xbox Series X also has a slight advantage over the incredible PS5, which combines a 3.5 GHz to a 10.3 teraflop GPU and 16 GB of RAM.

Out of everything on this list, this is easily the best present that you can get an Xbox gamer for the holiday season, unless they have already arranged their purchase.

Here are some of the key features of the Xbox Series X

  • Compatible with four generations of Xbox games.
  • Next-gen speed and performance with the Xbox velocity architecture, powered by a custom 1 TB integrated SSD.
  • Comes with a Xbox Series X wireless controller.
  • 4K gaming experience.
  • Up to 120 FPS

At almost half of the price of Microsoft’s flagship, the Xbox Series X, let me present to you the Xbox Series S. The difference between the two? It is the smallest Xbox ever, precisely 3x smaller than the Xbox Series X. With this benefit, however, there are certain things that are significantly smaller in order to allow for its relatively compact size. One of which is the 512 GB SSD as compared to the 1 TB in the Xbox Series X. The RAM is just 10 GB as compared to 16 GB.

In terms of graphics, the maximum resolution of the S model peaks at 1440p, whereas the X model can comfortably support 4K. Besides, it can also go up to 8K, depending on whether or not the game title supports such graphics.

If you don’t want to splash any extra cash while getting a next-gen console, the S series is just perfect. However, I’d like you to know that it is nowhere near as powerful as its big brother, the Xbox Series X. Thus, it is likely not to be able to run titles that are going to be released in the future, making it no so future proof.

Here are some of the benefits of the Xbox Series S as compared to the X model.

  • $200 cheaper than the Xbox Series X
  • A lot more compact in size
  • Only available in the color white

Another very overlooked gift would be a 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership. Yes, it may only be a digital code that once used, it disappears forever, however, it allows the person that you are shopping for to play online with their friends for 12 months.

As a gamer myself, I love spending time with my friends as that is typically how we catch up on a regular basis when we don’t get the chance to meet in person. I also hardly find offline or single-player games any fun, thus, it is fundamental for me to be able to play online.

Also, whoever you are shopping for, the chances are that they already have such a membership, however, once it runs out, they can just use the one that you bought them and jump right into action without spending a dime.

If you know that they have got the Xbox Series X or you are ordering it for them, know that these two are the perfect bundle together as they go hand in hand.

On the flip side, if you are looking to grab them a smaller gift similar to that one, there also are 3 month and 6-month Xbox Live subscriptions that cost a little less than the 12-month one.

If you couldn’t find anything on this list that you like or think that the person you are shopping for won’t appreciate enough, you quite literally cannot go wrong with buying them an Xbox gift card.

If you don’t know what it is, essentially, once you make the purchase, you will receive voucher code that is worth the same amount of money as you bought it for with the only difference that the user can then redeem it and purchase virtually anything available on the Xbox online store.

It is a great gift because rather than choosing a specific present for them, they get to choose exactly what they want to spend their gift card on. This means that you cannot disappoint them in any way possible.

Besides the $50 gift card linked above, there also are Xbox Series X gift cards that are worth $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $40, $60, $70, and $100 so feel free to choose the amount that you want your gift to be worth. Obviously, the bigger the gift card, the more in-store purchases that they will be able to make.
