Finding Hidden Loot in the World Map
To check for hidden loot in the world map, simply open up the World tab to check the map. After that, you will search for glowing yellow or gold marks that can be seen in explored areas of the map. There can be multiple hidden loots in one area and they can be seen next to each other but most of them will have different entry points depending on where they are.
As you progress through AC Valhalla, the wealth meter or the treasure will increase the loot value of the hidden loot. It is a great way to start and build up resources especially in the early game. The game rewards you well for exploring every part of the map which is why you need to be attentive when roaming around the world.
Using Odin Sight to Look for Hidden Loot
If you find yourself near a hidden loot after finding them in the world map but you have no idea where to go from there, you can use the Odin Sight to help pinpoint where the location of the hidden loot is. There will be a marker that signals the location of the hidden loot and it will be up to you how to get to it.
Be careful not to get lost because of tunnel visioning to the exact location of the hidden loot with the Odin Sight. There will most likely be another way to get to the hidden loot that is quite far from the actual location of the treasure. Ubisoft has done a great job in making these hidden loots harder to find compared to their other Assassin’s Creed titles.
Puzzles and Secret Passages
You will come across various puzzles and secret passages along the way and there are only a few ways Odin Sight can assist you throughout your journey. You have to be creative in exploring around the area by looking for breakable walls, hidden tunnels, rubbles and even objects such as trees and ruins to parkour on.
Here is an example of a breakable wall where you need to shoot the oil jar near it to break through the area. Sometimes there will be no oil jars located near these walls and you have to supply your own along with some fire arrows to ignite it as well.
There are times where you use the Odin Sight and the treasure might be beneath you. There is no way to dig through it and you will have to find a secret entrance that could be quite far from the actual hidden loot location and you will need to traverse underground once you find a way down that is nearest to the hidden loot’s location.
