In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, stealth and precision are often your greatest allies.

However, they are not enough. Favor Tokens and Basim’s tools are crucial to help him rank up as a Hidden One.

That said, these tools are not just at your disposal. Some must be unlocked first, and then you need to upgrade and customize them so they can be useful while fitting your playstyle.

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of unlocking and upgrading all the tools at your disposal in the game.

Unlock New Tools

It all begins with unlocking the “Tools” tab in your menu. This happens during your training before returning to Baghdad.

Initially, you’ll only have access to Throwing Knives and the Torch.

Although throwing knives will always be helpful, and there are many cool tricks that you can perform with a torch, you need more than that to face the most challenging situations the game throws your way.

As you progress through the main story, you will have the opportunity to unlock an additional tool.

The remaining tools can be accessed through the Trickster skill tree by spending skill points on Extra Tool Capacity nodes.

You should get some skill points to ensure you can use all the tools you want.

How to Upgrade Your Tools

Once you’ve unlocked a tool, the real fun begins.

Using components, steel, and leather, you can enhance your tools and add new features.

There are merchants in Baghdad who will help you upgrade tools and weapons as long as you have the necessary items to do so.

You will have to use components, steel, and leather, so you better learn where to find crafting materials if you want better tools.

To customize your tools, speak to Ibn Musa. He’ll let you reset and choose new skills for your equipment at no extra cost.

This flexibility allows you to fine-tune your tools for every mission or contract you undertake.
