TL:DR; The best way to level up faster in Vanguard is to maximize your XP earnings. You can do this by playing the right game modes (Domination, Hardpoint or Control), focusing on kills and killstreaks, and using XP-boosting attachments like the Surplus kit option.

Leveling up in Call of Duty: Vanguard is quite a difficult, tedious, and time-consuming process – at least for the ones of you who haven’t done their research and haven’t optimized their gameplay for leveling up as quickly as possible.

In this blog post, we will talk about how to level up fast in Vanguard. Before writing this piece of content, we’ve conducted quite extensive research, exploring all the different game modes, guns, and attachments that you should use to really boost your rate of gaining XP.

Without further ado, let’s get right into it.

Best Game Modes for XP

Leveling up on any Call of Duty game, including Vanguard, comes as a result of playing in one of the many game modes that are available to players.

Upon concluding our research, we figured that the best gamemode for XP in Vanguard is either Domination, Hardpoint, or Control. It goes without saying that in order to make the most XP out of these game modes, you should be an objective-oriented player.

In other words, if you don’t play as the game mode is intended, you’ll miss out on a lot of XP. As an example, on hardpoint, the goal is to hold each position for as long as possible before it changes.

Aside from holding as long as you can, you should also strive to claim each hardpoint either first or from your enemies. That’s when you get bonus XP, which will add up quite nicely in the end.

Best Guns to Use

No gun, in particular, gives you more XP than the next.

What you need to take into consideration is the map that you’re playing and if the gun you’re using is suitable for it. If you’re playing on a map designed for close-range combat, it probably isn’t ideal for you to use a quickscoping sniper in Vanguard but rather something more practical – an SMG or a nasty one-shot shotgun for example.

This way, you’re likely to get a whole lot more kills, which in the end equals a whole lot more XP.

Best Killstreaks

This one is quite simple, you should always use the killstreaks that will kill the most players. This will directly impact your total XP gained in that particular game. Some of my favorite Vanguard killstreaks include the Attack Dogs, Flamenaut, Glide Bomb, and the Warmachine.

Do note that those are completely up to you. If you’re playing on a small map, popping a UAV might end up bringing you more XP indirectly by showing you where your enemies are, going there, and eliminating them. Saying that it is probably a good idea to also make use of the Field Mic field upgrade. Saves you the need for using a UAV as a killstreak and gives you live information of your nearby enemis.

Attachments

For the first time ever, Call of Duty have brought an additional feature that you can add to your loadout – a Kit, and one of the Kits you can equip actually gives you the ability to earn XP at a faster rate.

There are a total of eight different kits that you can equip, each giving you different bonuses.

The one that you want to be paying attention to is the Surplus kit. This allows you to earn additional XP for the enemies that you manage to eliminate using the loadout.

The only downside with this attachment is that it will take you a while to unlock it in the first place, meaning you can’t put it onto your loadout from the minute you start and fly through the leveling process at lightning speed. Still, it’s a good option once you do unlock it specifically to rank up guns quickly in Vanguard.

Leveling up in a game like Vanguard doesn’t need to be a tedious process. Do note that leveling up will still take you time, there is no doubt about that, but, why not take the necessary shortcuts and level up faster than you would have otherwise?
