Your player’s physique plays a pivotal role in your overall build within Face of the Franchise.

You start off your career by picking a physique for your player, but it’s hard at this stage to know what kind of playstyle you will be playing for your selected position, or what kind of build will be perfect for you.

Luckily for you, there is the option to freely change your physique during the course of your playthrough.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to change your physique in Madden 23 Face of the Franchise.

How to Change Physique

Upgrade Player Screen

To change your physique, go to the main screen on your Face of the Franchise player—select “Upgrade Player,” which will direct you to the skill points allocation screen.

From there, you can look at your attributes in the middle, and below it, you will see the button to change your physique.

Press the button, depending on your platform, and you will be able to freely change your physique to Agile, Balanced, or Bruiser without any restrictions.

Types of Physiques

Agile

Choosing the Agile physique gives you some pretty straightforward advantages. You will be a 5’10 180lbs player with better Speed and Change of Direction attributes, depending on your position.

WR Physique Change

You also have the Juke Silver and Spin Silver perks. However, you are much weaker and lose attributes in Break Tackle. This is also dependent on your position. If you play as a WR, you are getting Catching Silver and Man Coverage Gold perks.

The Agile physique is good for all the best WR builds, corner builds, and a few QB builds.

With this type of physique, you are mostly going for speed, and you will be avoiding most of the physical contact through your speed and agility.

Balanced

QB Physique Change in Madden 23

The balanced physique is an all-around player who has no distinct strengths or weaknesses. They are 6’2 in height and weigh 215 lbs.

Your perks will be Truck Bronze and Spin Bronze. You will be physically stronger than agile players and weaker than bruiser players.

Your key skills will be average in all aspects. Balanced builds are usually for all-around QB builds. Tom Brady’s build is the perfect example.

You have a quarterback who can break a few sacks when throwing as well as having the option to run the ball just to get a first down.

Bruiser

Bruisers are 6’5 310lbs players who use their immense strength to gain an advantage. These players are usually your offensive and defensive linemen.

In the NFL, you see players with this kind of build, but they can also move insanely fast for their size.

Someone like Shaun Rogers, who is 6’4 and weighs 350 lbs. but can run so fast that he finished a 40-yard dash in 5.3 seconds.

Sadly, in Madden 23, you can’t have this kind of strength and run like a cheetah at the same time.

You can ignore the bruiser physique if you are not playing the line. You are better off choosing between agile and balanced.
