Forspoken offers a lot of freedom. Traversal is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game, and it is easy to get lost in Athia due to just running around for the sake of it.

For that reason, you will often find yourself miles away from where you are meant to be. Although exploring can be fun, backtracking can be a pain.

If you don’t want to walk back for miles, you need to learn how to fast travel in Forspoken. Once you know how to do that, you can go wherever you want and return to the main quest by just pushing a few buttons.

How to Unlock Fast Travel

Refuge 1

In order to fast travel in Forspoken, players must find some specific structures.

These are Belfry Towers and refuges.

Once you have visited one of these places, go to your map. Once you hover your cursor over one of those structures, they will show you what to press for you to fast travel. Thanks to Forspoken’s surprisingly fast loading times and SSD technology, you will show up in seconds.

Please note that you can’t be in combat to fast travel. So, if you are fighting, either win or run away. Once Frey is safe and not being chased, you can fast travel normally.

The towers are less numerous than the refuges. If you want to be a completionist and do everything that the game has to offer, finding these towers must be one of the first things you should do, as well as finding all of the familiars.

Like in other open world games, these Belfry Towers are there to reveal all the alternative tasks, side quests, and hidden treasures that the game has to offer.

The Best Way to Use Fast Travel

Effective Use of Fast Travel

Open your map, find a tower or a refuge that is near where you want to go, and mark that spot.

If you want to detour, go ahead and mark the fast travel spot closest to where you want to go.

Now, try your best not to deviate from your destination until you have visited those spots. Once you do, you will have unlocked the option to fast travel to that spot. Now you can roam around freely and get lost, knowing you can get back on track quickly whenever you need to.

You can also use these spots to become more powerful. Resting makes creatures spawn again, which can be helpful if you want to farm experience points in an area where you already know how to defeat enemies.

The more you play and realize how large the world is, the more you will see how fast travel is a convenience in Forspoken.

I’m sure you will get lost plenty of times having fun with Frey’s magic parkour. Don’t worry, it happens to everyone. At least now you know how to get back.

In fact, by unlocking more spells, Frey can become even faster. As a consequence, it becomes even more fun to run around and much easier to get lost in the best possible way.
