Ishodag Shrine is the first Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom that I’ve come across with multiple solutions to the final puzzle.

It’s a creative Shrine that looks at using the Ultra Hand ability and Zonai Device fans, along with the Paraglider and the Ascend ability. It can be a little confusing at first, but it’s worth solving as you’ll get a Light of Blessing along with an Opal in a treasure chest.

Here’s a quick walkthrough of how to beat Ishodag Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, looking at two possible solutions for the final puzzle.

Before You Start

For many players, Ishodag Shrine is the sixth or seventh Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

To get to Ishodag Shrine, there are a few things that you need to have finished beforehand. They are:

  • Leaving the Sky Island and getting to Hyrule
  • Obtaining the Paraglider

By completing these two steps, you will have also made sure that you have the correct abilities for this Shrine, like the Ultra Hand and Ascend abilities.

Ishodag Shrine can be found to the Northwest of the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower if you’re looking for a fast travel location nearby.

How to Complete Ishodag Shrine

To start, interact with the Shrine and enter the first room.

You will find a Zonai Device fan and a tall wall that you cannot climb in the first room.

Use your Ultra Hand ability to turn the fan over so that it is facing the ceiling of the Shrine, then move it closer to the wall.

Then, jump over the top of the fan and use your Paraglider. You’ll be able to glide up to the next level of the room. Head up the stairs to continue.

In the second room, you will find a river blocking you from progressing. There is a plank of wood and another fan near the edge of the water.

Use your Ultra Hand ability to attach the fan to the back of the wood to create a makeshift boat, then place it in the water.

If you’re struggling to get the fan to face the right way, I’d suggest exiting the Ultra Hand perspective for a moment and simply hitting the A button to pick it up. This keeps the fan at a set 90 degree angle, which makes using Ultra Hand a lot easier.

Once the boat is in the water, get on it and hit the fan with your weapon. You can hit Zonai Device fans from any angle to make them start and stop.

You can also shoot them with an arrow or even throw objects at them, which is why you’ll see one of my fans in the article images has a Brightbloom flower on it.

When the boat pulls up on dry land, get off and continue.

In front of you, you should see a broken lift, two fans, and a tall platform next to a swing bridge with an unreachable treasure chest stuck to the side of it.

The treasure chest is optional, but it’s decently easy to get. It’s worth the effort as it contains an Opal, which you can sell for a lot of Rupees.

To get it, pick up one of the fans with Ultra Hand and put it on the side of the bridge.

Then, activate it. The fan will push the bridge away from the platform and make it level.

You can use Ascend to hop through the bridge and claim your prize.

The next step is where the multiple solutions come in.

My personal solution to solving this Shrine stage was to take two fans up to the platform with the chest, then glide up to the top platform where the exit is.

You can also attach two fans to the underside of the lift and hit them, then go up to the top platform in that fashion.

Both options work and are a matter of preference. I found my method to be less fiddly, but it did take me a little more time to figure it out.

Once you’re at the top, simply interact with the exit to finish the Ishodag Shrine.

What to Do Next

Keep an eye out for other Shrines once you’ve finished this one.

It’s likely that this is your sixth or seventh Shrine if you’re sticking to the main storyline closely, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for more so that you can get more Lights of Blessing and increase how many heart containers you have.

You can also choose to increase your stamina with Lights of Blessing, too.

If you’re looking for other ways to increase your stamina, you can do so by getting a massage when you rest in a village or even when cooking or making elixirs. Some ingredients provide a good stamina buff or regeneration speed.
