Controller
Nickmercs uses the SCUF Infinity 4PS PRO MFAM for his controller. He plays with a controller on PC that is why when you watch his streams, you will sometimes see console buttons on the interface.
Monitor
Nickmercs uses the Alienware AW2721D monitor. It has a lightning-fast 240Hz refresh rate.
Headset
Nickmercs uses the Astro A40 headset and it is also considered one of the best headsets for gaming. Astro has been consistent with its level of quality and has been known to release products at the highest quality for decades.
It is incredibly useful to invest in a good headset as it is important for FPS players to hear sound cues such as footsteps, in-game notifications, and even the difference in gun noises.
Microphone
Nickmercs uses the Shure SM7B microphone for his streams. Having a separate microphone aside from your headset’s built-in one will allow you to have two possible inputs and give you a clearer and better version of audio to your viewers or friends.
Webcam
Nickmercs uses the Logitech BRIO Ultra HD webcam which is a really popular camera for all the popular streamers out there.
Capture Card
Nickmercs uses the Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro and it comes to no surprise. The Elgato brand stands alone as the best capture card brand out in the market. It is used for streaming through your console devices because the console hardware is not built to account for streaming.
Chair
Nickmercs has the OP Seat Grandmaster Black mostly because of his partnership with OP and how he feels towards the brand. It has a ton of features including its high-quality leather, your typical multi-adjustable armrests, recliner, and seat height, and their signature foam.
Final Thoughts
Obviously, the whole gaming setup for Nickmercs is incredibly expensive. While most of them are not mandatory (in terms of quality), you can still get a feel of what Nickmercs plays like. Other than the high-quality monitor with fast response times and studio-grade headset, everything else should not affect your gameplay as much.
If you want to copy a different streamer because Nickmercs’ settings do not fit your playstyle, you can try different ones from other professionals like Tommey, Dirty, and Crowder.
