There are a few different types of Incantations in Elden Ring, and some of them allow your character to harness the power of mystical creatures.

If you already found the church to buy Dragon Incantations and know where to get Bestial Incantations, the Crucible Ones are the next step.

Crucible incantations are meant to invoke the power of the primordial aspect of the Erdtree, and they fit a Paladin Build.

If that sounds interesting and you’d like to know how to get Crucible incantations in Elden Ring, this guide is for you.

How to Get All Crucible Incantations

Get Crucible Incantations

Crucible Incantations are all known as Aspects of the Crucible, which are manifestations of the Erdtree’s primal vital energies. This primordial manifestation was the crucible where all life was once blended together.

Much like dragon incantations, using a Crucible incantation makes you manifest a part of the being that names the type of incantation you’re using.

In the case of the Aspects of the Crucible, there are three different incantations: Crucible’s Tail, Crucible’s Horn, and the last one that allows you to mimic the Crucible’s breath.

Each Aspect of the Crucible, the incantations you are looking for, can be acquired by defeating a specific Crucible Knight.

Aspect of the Crucible: Tail

Crucible Tail

You get the Aspect of the Crucible: Tail incantation by defeating the Crucible Knight imprisoned within the Stormhill Evergaol.

This Evergaol isn’t that hard to find. It will is located in an area to the southwest of Stormgate. Once you go through the gate and reach Stormhill, head west until you find the cliff.

It shouldn’t be too hard for you to locate the Stormhill Evergael if you have the map fragment of Limgrave.

It’s important that you have some idea of how to defeat the Crucible Knight before you go in. This is a very strong enemy that can easily two-shot most of Tarnished who challenge him. However, he does have a very readable pattern of attacks that can be exploited with a bit of patience.

Make sure that you have all the equipment and spells you want for the fight cause although there is a Stake of Marika near the Evergaol, there’s no site of grace near it.

Once you defeat this Crucible Knight, the Aspect of the Crucible: Tail incantation, you will be informed that you received it as a reward. You don’t have to pick it up; the incantation will already be in your inventory.

This incantation creates a supple tail that sweeps through foes before the caster. You can enhance its potency by charging it, which makes you attack a second time with a longer, more potent version of the Crucible’s Tail.

Aspect of the Crucible: Horn

Crucible Horn

This one is a bit trickier to find. You get the Aspect of the Crucible: Horn by defeating the hidden Crucible Knight within the Stormveil Castle.

This is not a boss fight, but the Crucible Knight will fight pretty much the same way the one within the Evergaol does.

In order to get to him, you need to first find the Rampart Tower site of grace.

From there, walk to the area where you will find three Bladed Talon Eagels and explosive barrels. Take the first left turn you can there and look for a broken tower with an item on it. You might have to jump on the ledge to see it well.

Once you find the tower, look at the wall next to it and drop on the ledge that will lead you to that tower. Now you just have to keep climbing down until a rocky platform falls and takes you to the area where the Crucible Knight is waiting to fight you.

Unlike the one in Stormhill Evergaol, you can cheese this one with ranged attacks if he gets stuck in the cliff or by luring him to the elevator shaft and waiting for him to fall.

Just like it happens when you defeat the previous one, you will get notified that you now have the Aspect of the Crucible: Horn, and it will be in your inventory.

When you use this incantation, it creates a mighty horn on your character’s shoulder to gore foes from a low stance. The attack goes really far. It looks like a sliding shoulder charge, but with horns coming out of your character’s shoulders.

Also, charging the spell allows the caster to barrel into foes before delivering the final attack.

Aspect of the Crucible: Breath

Taniths Knight

This is the most disturbing Aspect of the Crucible incantation due to how it looks, but it is also pretty cool when it comes to its function.

It takes a while to have access to the region where you get the Aspect of the Crucible: Breath.

In order to get it, you first go to the boss arena, where you fight Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. You won’t be able to get this incantation before defeating this Demigod, which is why you most likely won’t be getting it very soon.

Once you have defeated him and finished Volcano Manor’s quest, you must find Lady Tanith and talk to her. After that’s done, go to the boss arena to find her eating Rykard’s corpse. If you want this incantation, you must take her down.

That is what will cause you to be invaded by Lady Tanith’s bodyguard, a Crucible Knight. That’s the guy you are looking for. Once you defeat him, you will get the Aspect of Crucible: Breath.

This incantation creates a throat pouch on the caster’s neck, allowing them to spew fiery breath while walking. Also, charging it increases the duration of the breath.

This is a very weird-looking attack, but it does fire damage that scales with Faith with a significant area of effect, and it staggers weaker enemies.

What To Do Next

In the end, there are only three Aspects of the Crucible. Two of them are very easy to get, but the last one takes a while.

That said, you might want to make sure that you can use that as effectively as possible. Do you have any idea how good is Faith is in Elden Ring?

Once you understand the Faith attribute and how to use it better, you will also have a much better understanding on what equipment, incantations, and secondary attributes you must have.

By the time you have all that figured out, make sure to try test your Faith against other players. You do have to know how to find the PvP Colosseums first, though.
