The Roundtable Hold is a central hub in Elden Ring, where adventurers and tarnished gather to assist each other.

It’s an essential location in the game, as it is home to NPCs and secret shops and artisans where you can buy powerful spells, items, and incantations to strengthen you on your journey.

There is a good chance that you have already defeated the Tree Sentinel and flying dragon Agheel, so you are much closer to the Roundtable than you think.

However, you need an invitation to visit this location. In this guide, we will show you how to get to Roundtable Hold in Elden Ring.

How to Get an Invite to Roundtable Hold

The Roundtable Hold is an exclusive gathering area beyond the Lands Between. You can’t find it through exploring and ordinary means. Instead, you have to fast travel to reach the Roundtable Hold. Once you have it, you can find it in the lower left corner of your map.

You also have to fast travel to a Site of Grace outside to leave the Roundtable Hold.

Before you can access the area, you need an invitation first. Aside from offering accords, Melina can also provide you with a visitor’s pass.

After you exit the tutorial area, you can find Melina through activating three Sites of Grace in the overworld. You can locate lost grace sites by exploring and looking for the golden rays near each site. Map markers are extremely useful for navigating through the Lands Between.

After resting at the third Site of Grace, a cutscene will play, and you’ll meet the mysterious Melina. She’ll also give you a whistle to call your horse, and unlock leveling up any Site of Grace.

Now, to get to the Roundtable Hold, you have to rest at a Site of Grace outside of Limgrave.

I’ll show you two ways to find one early: one route is faster but riskier; the other is safer, but you’ll travel further.

Get to Roundtable Hold Early

Players who follow the main story path will get to Roundtable Hold after resting at the Site of Grace after Stormveil Castle. However, you don’t need to defeat the boss of the area to find the Roundtable Hold.

Additionally, there are many reasons why someone needs early access to the gathering hub.

For example, I needed to reach Roundtable Hold early to purchase pyromancy incantations for my faith-based spellcaster.

Sellia Crystal Tunnel

Many players were victims of a certain transporter chest in a low-level area. But this time, getting caught in a transporter chest can be a valuable shortcut we can use to get to Roundtable Hold faster.

For a faster but riskier way, you’ll have to use the transporter chest in Dragon-Burnt Ruins.

From the Church of Elleh, go eastward into Agheel Lake. Dragon-Burnt Ruins is found on the south side of the lake.

Find the stairs leading down to the underground cellar. If you fought a group of skeletons above and a pack of rats below, you’re in the right place. Open the chest, and you’ll end up in Sellia Crystal Dungeon.

Chances are you’re way too underleveled to handle these enemies yet. So, make sure to sneak and leave Sellia Crystal Dungeon. If the mages spot you, run towards the exit – you don’t want this fight.

Rest at the Site of Grace near the cave’s entrance for safety. From here, gallop towards the scarlet rot-blighted lake, then turn left at the shoreline. Watch out for the infected dog.

Follow that path, and you’ll eventually find a Site of Grace. Rest there and Melina will offer to take you to the Roundtable Hold.

Skip Stormveil Castle

Sellia Crystal Cave is dangerous, especially if you’re not used to dodging magic projectiles yet. Alternatively, you can skip Stormveil Castle to get to Roundtable Hold safer.

Start from the Site of Grace at Stormhill Shack, north of the Stormgate. If it’s up your first time here, talk to Roderika. She’s a blonde woman with a red hood huddled in the corner.

Exhaust her dialogue, and she’ll give you a Spirit Jellyfish. You’ll also see her next time to get to Roundtable Hold.

After that affair, follow the path to Stormveil Castle. However, don’t take the curve left; go straight under the bridge. Keep moving until you find a broken bridge with a finger reader nearby.

Go to the end of the broken bridge, and look for the cracked railings on your left. Follow this long winding path, and you’ll have wholly skipped Stormveil Castle.

Rest at the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace and you’ll be able to get to Roundtable Hold. If that doesn’t work, keep following the main road until you find the merchant. Then, try resting at that site instead.

What NPCs Are in Roundtable Hold?

The Roundtable Hold is the assembly site for various characters, features, and a few secrets. Soulsborne games are best played blind to preserve the mystery and joy of exploration. However, no one can doubt that sometimes these games are obscure to the casual player.

Allow me to take you through a tour of the interesting places and characters in Roundtable Hold. Though there will be some slight spoilers, I’ll only describe the state of the Roundtable Hold after beating the first major boss in Stormveil Castle.

Take note that these characters move around depending on different triggers. They may be in different locations in the Roundtable Hold based on their associated quests. Sometimes, they won’t be in the area at all.

D, the Undead Hunter

D is the armored knight sitting by the Roundtable. He hunts for those who live in death and warns you not to set foot in Summonwater Village.

However, if you defeat Tibia Mariner, the boss located there and collect its Deathroot. He’ll show you the location for Beast Clergyman, an intimidating NPC where you can purchase beast incantations. Afterward, D will sell you holy incantations.

Brother Corhyn

Brother Corhyn is the person wearing a wheel on his neck; it’s hard to miss him. He’s a man of the cloth who hopefully wants to counsel the Elden Lord in the future.

He teaches holy incantations and restorative magic for Faith-based casters. Flame Fortification is a great pick-up to fight dragons and wyrms, like the boss keeping the Moonveil Katana.

Additionally, Corhyn accepts prayerbooks to increase his incantation stock. Following his personal questline gives him more spells for you to choose from.

Diallos

Diallos is a friendly noble of House Hoslow. He asks you to find her loyal servant named Lanya. You’ll find him next in the Liurnia region, north of Academy Gate Town.

Enia

She’s a mystic finger reader on top of a table near a creature that looks like the baby from Eraserhead. Her door will only open once you defeat your first demigod, most likely Godrick.

You can use the souls you acquired from the major bosses to exchange for powerful weapons. Just like soul transposition in the previous titles. If you find yourself wanting multiple boss weapons only one Remembrance, you can duplicate the legendary item at a mausoleum.

Gideon Ofnir

Originally, you’ll meet him near the Roundtable. After reloading the area, he’ll be in the library at the left hall. Initially, he won’t be receptive to your presence but he’ll welcome you to the inner circle after presenting him a Great Rune.

Gideon Ofnir will offer you advice regarding the demigods, including their basic information and where to find them. He’s also the foster father of Nepheli Loux, a tarnished warrior dressed like the Hero class. You’ll first meet her in Stormveil Castle, and she’ll help you fight Godrick the Grafted.

Ensha, Elden Ring’s resident edgelord, is Gideon’s silent guard who stands in front of the library.

Twin Maiden Husks

The Twin Maiden Husks sell useful items like Stonesword Keys and a Memory Stone, as well as an assortment of weapons. You can also buy the Spirit Calling Bell as well as the Spirit Wolves ashes from them if you missed Witch Renna. But it’s better to read and follow the guide to get it for free.

Additionally, you can give Twin Maiden Husks Bell Bearings to increase their inventory. The really valuable ones can add Smithing Stones to her shop. For your first taste of a Bell Bearing, visit the Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave at night.

Roderika

Roderika comes to Roundtable Hold after exhausting her dialogue in Stormhill Shack. Initially, she believes she has nothing to offer. But if you follow her short questline she’ll be able to upgrade your Spirit Ashes.

Blacksmith Hewg

Smithing Master Hewg is a calloused blacksmith imprisoned to serve the tarnished in Roundtable Hold. He’ll upgrade your gear beyond your capabilities. Aside from that, he also offers other useful services, like the ability to change or duplicate Ashes of War.

Fia

Fia is a deathbed companion sitting on a bed by a cozy fire. In one of the most wholesome moments in FromSoftware history, she offers to embrace you as many times as you want.

After hugging her, you’ll receive a debuff that removes 5% of your max health. It appears as a red square on your buff and debuff bar. To remove the debuff, simply use the item you receive called Baldachin’s Blessing.

The item is quite useful against bosses since it temporarily boosts your poise.

Sorcerer Rogier

After meeting him in Stormveil Castle, he appears in Roundtable Hold overlooking the lobby. He’ll sell you Ashes of War related to Glintstone magic and sorceries. Moreover, he gives you a pretty good Rapier that starts with eight levels and can cast Glintblade Phalanx.

Points of Interest in Roundtable Hold

Now that we know the characters waiting for us once we get to Roundtable Hold. I’ll also tell you about a few secrets and features you can use.

The eponymous Roundtable functions as a Site of Grace. You can rest there to use the normal functions as you would with a regular Site of Grace.

The Clouded Mirror Stand is a mirror hidden in the corner of the room where you can find Fia. You can use this mirror to completely change your appearance through the character creation screen.

If you jump down to the lobby, you can challenge an NPC invader named Mad Tongue Alberich. He uses a combination of ice magic and a large scythe to beat you down; quite challenging as NPC invaders go.

After defeating Alberich, there’s a hallway you can enter. It leads to a bedroom where you can find the Cipher Pata, a holy fist weapon for faith characters.

Heads up, finding this item triggers Brother Corhyn’s questline after talking to him. He’ll tell you he’s going to go on a journey to find the Goldmask and leaves. You’ll find him again at the Altus Plateau.

Lastly, there are two imp statues you can break with a Stonesword Key. Go down the stairs near the blacksmith to find them.

The first room has a treasure chest with Crepus’s Black-Key Crossbow and a few bolts. The sealed room after that room has the Assassin’s Prayerbook, you can give this to Brother Corhyn to learn its incantations.

Step-By-Step

  1. Find Melina by activating three Sites of Grace.
  2. When you meet Melina, she’ll give you an invitation to the Roundtable Hold.
  3. Rest at a Site of Grace outside of Limgrave, e.g. in Sellia Crystal Tunnel or by skipping Stormveil Castle.
  4. Select the option to fast travel to the Roundtable Hold.

What To Do Next

Well, if you have taken care of the lesser bosses in Stormveil and have finally found Roundtable Hold, it means that your next goal is to defeat the first major boss in the game.

You better learn how to defeat Margit, the Fell Omen in Elden Ring, cause this is a very challenging boss fight.
