The Fennec 45 is one of the best SMGs in Modern Warfare 2. It is basically MW2’s version of a Vector.

The gun spits out bullets so fast you might shred an enemy and still keep shooting before you can stop your trigger finger.

To fully utilize this SMG, we have set up the best Fennec 45 loadout in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2; you can copy and even adjust it to your preference.

Best Fennec 45 Attachments

Fennec 45 Loadout
  • Barrel: Fennec Covert Force
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Optic: None
  • Stock: FTAC Stock Cap
  • Underbarrel: None
  • Ammunition: None
  • Magazine: 45-Round Magazine
  • Rear Grip: Fennec Stippled Grip
  • Receiver: Fennec 45
  • Muzzle: None

The FTAC Stock Cap brings the best feature out of all SMG builds – an absolute close-range shredder with insane mobility.

Fennec Covert Force does reduce your ADS speed, but it helps add damage and range to the Fennec 45, which is one of its weaknesses.

The other attachments improve more on your ADS more because that’s the main strength of SMGs in CQB fights.

Adding the 45-Round Magazine attachment helps the build a lot because the gun spits out bullets so fast that you might not be able to have enough ammo for spray transfers.

The Fennec Stippled Grip helps you control your recoil because the gun has bad accuracy, especially for mid-range fights.

However, if the map calls for mostly CQB fights, you can swap it for the Fennec Rubber Grip for more ADS speed and sprint-to-fire speed.

Adding the Fennec Rubber Grip makes you more unstoppable in CQB, but you want at least to have a decent chance of fighting enemies in mid-range.

If you can control the recoil pretty well, you can go for the Fennec Rubber Grip attachment.

Optics are optional because the iron sights should be good enough. You are mostly fighting enemies close to you so sights wouldn’t matter as much. It even reduces your ADS speed if you put one.

You can use the same loadout/attachments on the Fennec 45 here for an SP-X 80 loadout with an Overkill perk. By doing this, you have the best quickscoping sniper paired with one of the deadliest close-range SMGs in CoD: MW2

Best Perks, Lethals, Tacticals, and Field Upgrades

Fennec 45 Perks

Double Time and Scavenger are a no-brainer for this build. You will find yourself out of ammo immediately without a Scavenger perk.

Double Time is just good for mobility for such a light weapon that you can move around the map so fast enemies can’t even chase after you.

Fast Hands would also be the best bonus perk. You are using this mainly to speed up your reload times. Using a 45-Round Magazine attachment will make it a lot slower, and using Fast Hands will compensate for it.

Even with a 30-Round Magazine, you still want Fast Hands for a much faster reload speed.

For the field upgrade, you want Dead Silence. It is unlocked very late, so you would need to rank up quickly to get it.

Dead Silence allows you to creep toward enemies and cut them off consistently. They won’t hear you run around, which is extremely useful for this play style.

If you don’t have Dead Silence, Battle Rage would be a good alternative for this aggressive playstyle setup.

Stim will be the best tactical because you will most likely get damaged by enemies you encounter.

Even if you win the fights, they might hit you once or twice before dying. You can use Stim to keep the momentum up as well as Battle Rage and keep pushing.

While you are using Stim, you can even hip-fire spray enemies who are close.

For the lethal, you can select anything you prefer. Most players just run frags or semtex and just throw it into contested areas immediately – typical Call of Duty stuff.

For the ultimate perk, you want Ghost to pair with your Dead Silence. You will be undetected by UAVs, and with a sound suppressor, you are basically undetectable.

Fennec 45 Loadout Playstyle

It is pretty obvious that the Fennec 45 should be played in close-quarter combat. You will be basically handicapped at mid-range fights. However, you can’t avoid these situations every time.

What you want to do is always stick to close-range areas.

  • The house in the middle of El Asilo
  • The houses and the middle area of the map in Al Bagra Fortress
  • The middle warehouse in Farm 18
  • The buildings and walkways in Embassy
  • Inside the trailers and in the middle area of the map in Crown Raceway

The other 6v6 maps that are mentioned mostly have close-range combat areas, so the Fennec 45 will still be effective there.

Your playstyle should revolve around circling around these areas as much as possible and avoid fights outside of these areas.

The Fennec 45 is one of the strongest SMGs and what you should always do is to pre-aim all angles as you enter them.

With enough experience, You will start to know when to pre-aim and when just to sprint. Run around as fast as you can to always keep the enemies guessing.

Use stims in between fights and remember you can always shoot while using the stim. The same goes for using Dead Silence.
