To ensure you get the most out of this excellent mid to long-range weapon, you need to add certain attachments to take the weapon’s capabilities to the next level.

The Best TAQ-M Loadout in MW2
- Muzzle: Lock shot KT85

This loadout ensures that the TAQ-M becomes extremely effective at mid-range. As MW2 is played at high speed, it is important to have a weapon that can react to the circumstances that arise during matches.

Muzzle: Lock shot KT85
Firstly, we have opted for the Lock shot KT85 muzzle, as it will reduce the amount of vertical and horizontal recoil you get from the rifle.
However, this attachment does reduce your aiming stability and ADS, which is important to be aware of.
However, this weapon is not the one you would select as a run-and-gun class, so reduced ADS is not the worst side effect you could get from an attachment.
Barrel: LR1:7 20.5″ Barrel
For the barrel, we chose the LR1:7 20.5″ Barrel, as it further reduces recoil and slightly improves damage.
Wherever possible, you want to try and kill your opponent with one single bullet. That way, it does not give them a chance to turn around and try to fire back at you while you load another bullet into your rifle. Therefore, adding damage is essential to reduce how many hit markers you get while using this weapon.
Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
While some players prefer to go without a laser, we have chosen to add the FSS OLE-V Laser for this loadout to add more accuracy to your shot. If you are a confident marksman, you might want to remove this attachment, but for the players that are new to using marksman rifles, this attachment is a great addition to help you become confident shooting at range.
Optic: VLK 4.0
For the optic, we chose the VLK 4.0, as it offers an additional 4x magnification, allowing you to take on opponents from even further away. This additional range is excellent for any rifle, especially one with plenty of damage and minimal recoil.
However, this attachment does lower ADS further, and your aim walking movement speed will also drop. These side effects should not be too impactful, but it is worth noting.
The main issue with this attachment is that when you scope in on an opponent, they will see a small sniper glint, which makes you easier to spot and shoot back at.
Underbarrel: Lock Grip Precision-40
Finally, we chose the Lock Grip Precision-40 underbarrel as our final attachment. This attachment further reduces the recoil you get from this weapon, making it even easier to pick off your opponents from a distance.

With this attachment, you don’t have to hold your breath to create a stable aim. This loadout is excellent for large maps. Be wary, though. This is not the best loadout for quick scoping.
