Cyberpunk 2077 has one of the most interesting and well-written settings in gaming, but it is far from being unique.
There is a world of cyberpunk games set in dystopian cities where technology and humanity intersect.
If the world of Cyberpunk 2077 made you leave wanting more, we have good news.
The list below includes 15 futuristic games like Cyberpunk 2077, with something for every fan of the neon-lit genre.
Shadowrun Trilogy
Genre | Tactical role-playing game |
Developers | Harebrained Schemes |

Also one of the best tactical RPGs on Steam, Shadowrun Trilogy features three standalone stories set in a unique world where cyberpunk meets magic.
Shadorunners, the elite criminals of this world, are hired for missions that require going beyond the law. They work for corporations, governments, wealthy individuals, and even organized crime rings. As long as someone is paying, there will be a shadowrunner to take the job.
The thing that makes this game interesting is the fantasy elements. Runners come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and classes. You might have to deal with an elven sniper, a human witch, a troll shaman, or even an orc assassin.
The world of Shadowrun has everything you see in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, but it also has mystical creatures and magics. It even has actual dragons running mega-corporations.

The Technomancer is a sci-fi RPG set on a terraformed, post-apocalyptic version of Mars. Although technology is a little more advanced than what you usually see in cyberpunk settings, this game certainly fits the genre.
You play as a Technomancer, a formidable warrior with destructive electrical powers. You must make your way across a planet struggling with constant conflict and mutant creatures.
The game features dynamic combat, four unique skill trees to level up and learn new skills or perks, and the ability to craft, buy, and loot better equipment and weaponry.
Your choices throughout the game will impact the fate of Mars, and relationships with your companions can open up new quests and pathways.
The Technomancer is an epic adventure and has received praise from critics. However, it was overlooked when it first came out and is often mentioned in the gaming community as an underrated Steam game.

This is another example of how crazy and cool a cyberpunk world can be. Ghostrunner takes place in a post-apocalyptic world.
You play as a ninja-like, cybernetically-enhanced superhuman, a Ghostrunner named Jack. In this game, you will deflect bullets, run on walls, move quickly, and slash through your enemies like they are butter.
All that happens while you try to understand what you are and want to do.
This game is frenetic. If you master Jack’s abilities, your enemies won’t see it coming.
Ghostrunner is a pretty straightforward corridor game. It features superhuman parkour, platforming, combat, and sections with a bit of everything that require impressive acrobatic stunts.
Enemies can rarely take more than one hit. Still, to take them down, you must use the Ghostrunner’s speed and skills to navigate a sea of bullets, dodge cyborg assassins, and take down everybody in your way.

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you’ll take on the role of Adam Jensen, a former SWAT operator chosen to manage the defensive needs of a cutting-edge biotechnology company in America.
Adam’s job is simple: protect company secrets. However, when a black ops team murders the scientists he was hired to protect, his entire life is turned upside down.
This game offers players a lot of freedom. You’ll have dialogue choices with consequences, and the missions can be completed in many different ways.
Customization is pretty decent, too. Although you can’t create a character, you can make Adam fit your preferred playstyle, whether that’s hacking through offices or gunning down security guards.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is also a classic cyberpunk game that touches on themes of technology and social class. It’s a fun game with a great story that I can’t recommend enough.

Characters in this game have distinct personalities and significantly different fighting styles. The stages are just as diverse, ranging from neon-lit cityscapes to sprawling space stations.
The developers seem very passionate about this game, and it shows. For that reason, don’t let the game’s indie status fool you. Punch Planet’s gameplay feels incredibly polished, with tight controls and smooth animations that make every match a joy to play.

Final Fantasy VII
Genre | Role-playing Game |
Developers | Square |
Release Date | January 31, 1997 |
Find at | PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam |
Multiplayer | N/A |
Average Playthrough | 37 hours |
Final Fantasy VII may not be the first game that comes to mind when you think of cyberpunk, but it does feature several elements of the genre.
Set in a dystopian city ruled by a corporation that is destroying the planet with its technological advancements, the game explores themes of oppression and control through technology.
The slums are located directly beneath the high-tech city, and the technology possessed by the Shinra company is used to further oppress and control the population.
One of the main characters, Barret, has a machine gun for an arm, and the game is filled with cyborgs, biotechnological experiments, and robots.
While magic is present in the game, it is worth noting that other cyberpunk games, such as Shadowrun, also feature magic. In fact, magic is used by artificially creating magical stones through a process that only the Shinra company can do because of their highly advanced technology.
Let me make it clear, Final Fantasy VII’s primary focus is not its cyberpunk themes. Still, it does have many elements of the genre and is one of the best video games ever made, so it is worth mentioning here.

If you’re a fan of cyberpunk and collectible card games, you should check out System Crash. This game draws inspiration from classic sci-fi stories like Blade Runner and Neuromancer.
You’ll get to recruit agents, build your deck from over 100 cards, and play through an exciting story campaign that takes you from the streets of San Angeles to the towering corporate arcologies.
System Crash is not an amazing game but by any means. The art is okay, and there is a lot of love behind it, but I can’t say it will blow my mind.
What I can do, however, is say that this game feels nostalgic due to its retro-futuristic cyberpunk design.
If you like card games and Blade Runner is one of your favorite movies, you should try System Crash.
